  Gueydan, Louisiana Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 17 at St. Peter's Catholic Church for Mrs. Venice Simon Gaspard, 83, who died Sunday, July 16, at 2:36 a.m. at American Legion Hospital. Rev. Grady Estilette officiated for the services. Burial was in the Abshire Cemetery. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Jimmy (Rosa Belle) Moore of Vinton, Mrs. Rudy (Delta) Richert of Franklin, Mrs. Chester (Ida) Guidry of Crowley; three brothers, Wilfred, Luma and Dalton Simon, all of Winnie, Texas; four sisters, Yvonne S. Gremillion of Crowley, Mrs. Wilfred (Helen) Royer of Winnie, Texas, Mrs. Raymond (Shirley) Tatford of New Iberia, and Marylene S. Williams of Winnie, Texas; 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Pierre Gaspard and a son, Horace Gaspard.
