      GEDDRY, Florence Rose - Age 71, of St. Alphonse, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016, in Yarmouth Regional Hospital surrounded by her family. Born in St. Alphonse, she was the daughter of the late Hubert and Annie (Saulnier) Muise. Florence was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her family meant the world to her and her grandchildren were her pride and joy. In her younger years, Florence worked as a servant for a few families in Halifax during the summer months. After graduating from school she went on to accept a position at the Halifax Infirmary as secretary. She then returned home at the age of 21 to marry the love a her life, Victor, and start her family. She enjoyed staying at home raising her three children, baking, sewing and gardening. She was always content and had a smile for everyone. After her kids grew up, Florence went back to work in the box factory at E.M. Comeau & Sons for several years. She then went back to being a stay at home wife, mother, grandmother and in the latter part of her life, care giver to both her parents. Beloved wife of over 50 years, Florence is survived by her loving husband, Victor Jeddry, St. Alphonse; son, Randy Geddry, Meteghan; daughters, Nadine Geddry-Browett (Leslie Surette), Yarmouth; Monette Geddry-Robichaud (Paul Handspiker), Meteghan; grandsons, Wade Browett, Jacques Robichaud, Ashton Robichaud; granddaughters, Kaylen Robichaud and Amanda Comeau; dear cousins, Faye Hazel, Beaverbank, and Gail Williams, Dartmouth. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Meteghan Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 23, at 11 a.m. from St. Alphonse Church with Rev. Wieslaw Papuga officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice.
