Kaplan?Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 26, 2012 at a 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Walter Joseph LeBoeuf, 79, who died Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend William C. Blanda officiating the services. Readers for the mass will be Talli LeBoeuf and Nicole Ruiz and the gift bearers will be Valerie LeBoeuf and Miranda Ruiz. Serving as pallbearers were Quinten LeBoeuf, Kyle LeBoeuf, Jimmy LeBoeuf, Clifford LeBoeuf, Jacob Ruiz, and Whitney Broussard.
Mr. Walter was a business owner of Ace Hardware Store in Kaplan for 30 years. He was a graduate of University of Louisiana at Lafayette and the University of Houston. He has been retired since 1993.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Wanda Hebert LeBoeuf of Kaplan; one son, Darwin LeBoeuf of Kaplan; two daughters, Pamela Colella and her husband, Patrick of Windsor Ontario, Canada and Annette Ruiz and her husband, Stephan of Prarieville; son-in-law, Keith Marceaux of Bay City, Texas; ten grandchildren, Quinten LeBoeuf and his wife, Tessa, Talli LeBoeuf and her fiance, Whitney Broussard, Josh Marceaux, Chad Marceaux, Paul Marceaux, Kyle LeBoeuf, Gabriel Colella, Nicole Ruiz, Jacob Ruiz, and Miranda Ruiz; and two great grandchildren, Valerie LeBoeuf and Ava Ruiz.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rodessa LeBoeuf Marceaux; his great granddaughter, Rochelle Hollier; his parents, Clifford LeBoeuf and the former Azema Prejean; and two brothers, Preston LeBoeuf and E.J. LeBoeuf.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Thursday, April 26, 2012 from 8 a.m. until the procession departs for the church.
