Lorraine C. ?Laine? (Gagne) Roy, 93, of Gardner, died peacefully Wednesday, February 27, 2019 in Wachusett Manor Nursing Home of Gardner.
Lorraine was born in Gardner on January 28, 1926, the daughter of the late Joseph and Virginia (Boucher) Gagne.
Lorraine was a member of Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner and its? Ladies of Ste. Anne Society. She was a seamstress employed by the Templeton Developmental Center of Templeton for over 10 years, retiring in 1986. Lorraine was a resident volunteer at Heywood Wakefield Commons, offering her assistance wherever it was needed.
She was a talented, avid craftswoman, who could create something special out of nothing. She loved spending time working on her latest projects, whether it was sewing, painting, making ornaments or creating greeting cards. Lorraine also enjoyed playing Bingo.
Lorraine leaves her daughter, Leonette M. Roy of Gardner; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Edgar A. ?Trigger? Roy, who died March 17, 2002; brother, Alfred Gagne; sisters, Priscilla Fontaine, Marguerite LeBlanc, Christine Cloutier, Corrine Jankowski and Orise Gagne.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 2nd from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols Street, Gardner with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner at a later date.
A calling hour will be held Saturday, March 2, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
