Services for Mrs. Wilson J. "Moonie" LeBlanc, 75, the former Leatrice Hebert, will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael Guidry officiating. Entombment will be in Holy Family Mausoleum.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. today at David Funeral Home with a 7 p.m. rosary service. Visitation will continue Wednesday from 8 a.m. until the time of services.
A native of Avery Island and a resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Hebert died at 2:35 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13, 2003, at Iberia Medical Center.
Mrs. LeBlanc was employed as a cafeteria technician at Avery Island Elementary for 18 years. Prior to working at Avery Island Elementary, she was employed at the Avery Island Salt Mine. Mrs. LeBlanc enjoyed her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Robbie LeBlanc and his wife, Mary, and Shane LeBlanc and his wife, Tracy, both of New Iberia; one daughter, Karin LeBlanc Duhon, of New Iberia; one sister, Verna Lee Henry and her husband, Percy, of New Iberia; three granddaughters, Stephanie LeBlanc Bergeron, of Maurice, and Mary Elizabeth LeBlanc Broussard and Brittni Duhon, both of New Iberia; three grandsons, Quincy, Rocky and Cody LeBlanc, all of New Iberia; two great-grandsons, Marcus Boudreaux, of Maurice, and Timothy Broussard, of New Iberia; two great-granddaughters, Harley Boudreaux and Madison Bergeron, both of Maurice, and a caretaker, Carolyn Kelly, of New Iberia.
Mrs. LeBlanc was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson J. "Moonie" LeBlanc, her father, Clomare "Karo" Hebert, her mother, Elinda Badeaux Hebert, and her brother, Verland Hebert.
Pallbearers will be Bryan and Keith Henry; Quincy and Rocky LeBlanc; Mary Elizabeth LeBlanc Broussard; Lloyd, Brandon and Braedon Broussard and Dana Hebert.
David Funeral Home, Trotter Street, is in charge of arrangements.
