He was a baseball player and enjoyed hunting. He was a member of the Native Council of Nova Scotia. He is survived by brother, Stewart Deveau, Weymouth. Visitation in Meteghan Funeral Home. Funeral was Thursday, Sept. 12 in Sacred Heart Church, Saulnierville, Rev. Yvon Dionne officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery.
