    • MEUSE, Harvie Joseph Passed away while attending Holy Mass, on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 in his 76th year. He is predeceased by his father and mother, Joseph and Winnifred Meuse of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Also predeceased by his beloved granddaughter Erin Gannon and grandson Mathew Meuse. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Mary Agnes Meuse (nee MacKenzie) and sadly missed by his brother William Meuse of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, and many nephews and nieces. Cherished father to James (Rebecca) Meuse, Michael Meuse, Mark (Mireille) Meuse and Mary Gannon. Loving and doting "Popie" to grandchildren Patrick, Liana, and Sean Gannon; Joshua, Monica and Edwin Meuse; and Madeleine, Michelle and Luc Meuse. And loved great-grandfather to Calvin and Kaylin Meuse. Harvie performed 34 years of loyal service for the excise tax section of Revenue Canada. He enjoyed a long retirement surrounded by family and close friends. He volunteered for many years on the Pastoral Care team at the Ottawa Hospital. He was a devout Catholic and proud 4th degree Knight of Columbus. He was actively involved with parish life at Annunciation of the Lord, serving on the parish council. He was also a voracious reader with a sharp intellect, keen sense of humour and devoted animal lover. He will be badly missed by his dog, Henry. Friends may pay respects at Kelly Funeral Home, 2370 St. Joseph Blvd, Orleans on Saturday, July 4th from 2:30-4:30 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be offered on Monday, July 6th , 2009 at 11 a.m. at Annunciation of the Lord Parish, 2414 Ogilvie Road, Ottawa. Reception will follow afterwards in the Church Hall. In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations may be made to National Evangelization Ministries Canada to assist three teen-aged missionaries from Annunciation of the Lord parish, including his grandson, Joshua Meuse.
