Notes - FITCHBURG -- Gerene M. (Leger) LeBlanc, 83, of 56 Nashua St., died Sunday, Jan. 8, in HealthAlliance Hospital/Leominster Hospital after an illness. She was born April 25, 1922, in St. Paul du Kent, Canada, the daughter of the late Anselme and Regina (Cormier) Leger. Mrs. LeBlanc enjoyed reading, solving crossword puzzles, geography and world history. She leaves her two daughters, Patricia A. LeBlanc and Janice D. Tata and her husband Sam, all of Fitchburg; her daughter-in-law, Paula (Madigan) LeBlanc of Fitchburg; her brother, Joseph C. Leger of Westminster; six sisters, Clarice Lomaglio, Bernadette Baldarelli, Doris Legros, Lucille Cormier and Lillian Richard, all of Fitchburg, and Pauline Bowen of Lunenburg; eight grandchildren, Jonathan LeBlanc of Michigan, Aimee LeBlanc of Leominster, Katie LeBlanc of Manhattan, N.Y., Michelle Nelson, Jeffrey Dursa and Jordan Dursa, all of Fitchburg, Samantha Tata, and Peter Tata of Leominster; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry J. LeBlanc, in 1962, her son, Ronald H. LeBlanc on Feb. 15, 2002, and her brother, Ovila Leger in 1986. LEBLANC -- On Jan. 8, Gerene M. (Leger) LeBlanc, 83, of Fitchburg. The funeral will be held Friday, Jan. 13, from Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 59 Walnut St., Fitchburg. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday, Jan. 12, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Children of Mass Hospital School, c/o Mass Hospital Board of Trustees, 3 Randolph St., Canton, MA 02021.
