Obituary for Doris Mary (Leger) Legros
Mrs. Legros was born in Fitchburg, July 15, 1930, a daughter of Anselme and Regina (Cormier) Leger and was a lifelong Fitchburg resident.
She was a member of St. Joseph?s Church and many years ago had been involved in the Fitchburg Cub Scout program. She enjoyed crocheting, and working on jigsaw puzzles. She was an avid fan of the Boston sports teams, especially the Red Sox.
Many years ago she worked at Comfort Slipper in Fitchburg.
She leaves three sons, Brian N. Legros and his wife, Eileen, of Lakeville, MN, Alan Legros and his wife, Laura of Sandy Hook, CT, Richard Legros and his companion, Donna Goodchild of Fitchburg; a daughter, Paula Livesay and her husband, James, of Winchendon; three sisters, Lillian Richard, Clarice Lomaglio and Pauline Bowen all of Fitchburg. She also leaves 9 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Fitchburg: Bernadette M. (Leger) Baldarelli, 90, formerly of Daniels St., died Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at Life Care Center of Leominster. Her husband, Guerrino Baldarelli died in August 1968. Mrs. Baldarelli was born in Fitchburg, September 5, 1923, a daughter of Anselme and Regina (Cormier) Leger and resided much of her life in Fitchburg. Many years ago she worked briefly at the Dohler Greeting Card Company in Fitchburg. She had attended St. Joseph?s Church in Fitchburg. Mrs. Baldarelli is survived by four sisters, Doris Legros, Lillian Richard and her husband, Norman, Clarice Lomaglio and her husband, Thomas, all of Fitchburg, Pauline Bowen and her husband, Robert of Lunenburg. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Ovila Leger of Leominster, Joseph C. Leger of Ashburnham, Gerene LeBlanc and Lucille Cormier both of Fitchburg. Services of committal will be held 11:30 AM Monday, August 18th at the Pieta Chapel at St. Joseph?s Cemetery, 486 Clarendon Street, Fitchburg. Mrs. Baldarelli?s family will receive family and friends from 10-11 AM Monday at the Isabelle & Anderson Funeral Home, 316 Clarendon Street, Fitchburg. FITCHBURG -- Lucille ?Lou? T. (Leger) Cormier, 73, of 1065 Mount Elam Road, died Sunday, Jan. 21, after a courageous battle with cancer, in her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Sept. 20, 1933, in Fitchburg, daughter of the late Anselm and Regina (Cormier) Leger. She attended Saint Bernard?s Central Catholic High School.
In addition to dedicating her entire life to her family, Mrs. Cormier worked for the former Barone?s Pharmacy on Electric Avenue in Fitchburg for many years. She was active in the PTA at Immaculate Conception and at Saint Joseph?s. She and her husband were involved with Marriage Encounter for many years. She was an avid sports fan and especially loved the Boston Red Sox.
She leaves her husband of 52 years, Gerard J. ?Jerry? Cormier; one son, Kevin M. Cormier and his wife, Dorie, of Leominster; three daughters, Donna A.M. Sicard and her husband, Robert, of Leominster, Christine M. Celli and her husband, John, of Leominster, and Michele T. Cormier of West Haven, Conn.; one brother, Clarence J. Leger of Ashburnham; five sisters, Bernadette Baldarelli of Fitchburg, Doris Legros of Fitchburg, Lillian Richard and her husband, Norman, of Fitchburg, Clarice Lomaglio and her husband, Thomas, of Fitchburg, and Pauline Bowen and her husband, Robert, of Lunenburg; one sister-in-law, Lorraine Leger of Leominster; five grandchildren, Nicholas Smith, Jocelyn Smith, Michael Sicard, John Celli and Jennifer Celli; several nieces, nephews, and many dear friends, including ?The Vigilante?s,? a group of special friends who enjoyed traveling the New England area.
She was predeceased by her sisters, Ella Leger and Gerene LeBlanc, and her brother, Ovila Leger.
CORMIER -- The funeral will be held Wednesday, Jan. 24, from Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg, with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, 49 Woodland St., Fitchburg. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday, January 23, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Mrs. LeBlanc enjoyed reading, solving crossword puzzles, geography and world history. She leaves her two daughters, Patricia A. LeBlanc and Janice D.
