    Another sudden death in our parish came to wrest from the affection of his family Mr. William Surette died on October 22nd, at the age of 55 years. He left his house, apparently in good health, and did not return at the specified time, he was found unconscious. Without being recalled to life, he died some two hours later.

    He leaves to mourn, other than his wife, six sons: Arthur of Berwick, Harvey of the Navy stationed in Mulgrave, Richard, soldier in Yarmouth, and Josephat, Wilbert and Walter at the house; three daughters: Alfreda, Doris and Jane, all at the house; one brother Armice, and one sister, Mrs. Joseph Alfred d'Eon, of West Pubnico.

    The funeral took place Friday, his sons Arthur and Richard, the mother and the sister-in-law of Mrs. Surette came to help. His other son, Harvey, was not able to arrive in Pubnico until Saturday. The pallbearers were: Joseph and Andrew Surette, James and Joseph d'Entremont.
