    LEOMINSTER - Ernest Gaudet, 86, of 161 Spruce St. died yesterday in Leominster Hospital.

    His wife, Catherine "Kitty" (Moriarty) Hill Gaudet, died in 1992. His first wife, Lucie (Leger) Gaudet, died in 1989. He leaves two sons, Donnie Gaudet of Leominster and Francis Gaudet of Fitchburg; a stepson, Robert Hill; two stepdaughters, Mary Walsh and Dorothy Pandiscio, all of Fitchburg; 24 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. He was born in St. Paul, New Brunswick, Canada, son of Lucien and Mary (Belleveau) Gaudet, and lived here since 1928.

    He worked as a color technician in several area plastics companies for many years, retiring in 1972.

    He was a member of Leominster Senior Citizens.

    A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Madonna of the Holy Rosary Church, 118 Theresa St., Fitchburg. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Fitchburg. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1 Kendall Square, Building 200, Cambridge, 02139-1562. Bosk Funeral Home, 85 Blossom St., Fitchburg, is directing arrangements

    LEOMINSTER: Joseph Ernest Donald Gaudet, 83, of Leominster, died Sunday, March 10, 2019 at UMass Memorial Hospital, Worcester after a brief illness.

    His wife of 42 years, Brenda A. (Schrow) Gaudet died in September 2010.

    Mr. Gaudet was born in Leominster, March 19, 1935, a son of Ernest and Lucie (Legere) Gaudet and was a graduate of Leominster High School.

    During the Korean Conflict he served his country for our years in the United States Marines and was a longtime member of the Townsend VFW.

    For much of his career, Mr. Gaudet worked as a construction supervisor in large scale commercial projects and had spent ten years in Saudi Arabia in that capacity. Following his retirement, he was employed as a school transportation driver.

    He leaves three sons, John Gaudet of Whitfish, MT, Thomas Gaudet of Rehoboth, , Christopher Gaudet of Shirley; three daughters, Dawn Gaudet-Logan of Franklin, Julie Gaudet of Lunenburg, Leslie Clark of New Gloucester, ME; two stepdaughters, Tracy L. Lothrop of Concord, NH, Lisa Bergevin of Townsend; a stepson, Kevin Bergevin of Fitchburg and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

    He was predeceased by his brother, Francis Gaudet and his stepson, Brian Bergevin, both of Leominster.

    Mr. Gaudet enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, cooking, reading the daily newspapers, staying in touch with his friends at home and abroad and listening to Big Band music.

    Mr. Gaudet?s family will receive family and friends from 3-6 PM Saturday, March 16th at the Anderson Funeral Home, 250 Main Street, (Rte 119) Townsend Center.
