- Mary L. Selinga, 80
ASHBURNHAM -- Mary L. (Laramee) Selinga, 80, of Ashburnham, formerly of Fitchburg, died Jan. 26, in the Blaire House of Worcester.
She was born in Fitchburg, on Aug. 15, 1932, a daughter of the late, Henry and Alice (Hebert) Laramee.
Mary graduated from Fitchburg High School in 1950 and was employed as a bookkeeper for several years at Economy Paint Supply in Leominster. She was a former member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Fitchburg and a current member of St. Denis Parish in Ashburnham. Mary also enjoyed traveling to the beaches of Maine.
Her husband Stephen Selinga died in 1991. She leaves three sons, Mark Brough of Westminster, Robert Selinga of Auburn, NH and Michael Selinga of Grafton, NH; two daughters, Brenda Dufour of Ashburnham and Diane Sweatman of Townsend; two brothers, Robert Laramie and John Laramie both of Fitchburg; two sisters, Claire Johnson of Ashby and Lois Sheldon of Ashburnham; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. Besides her husband she is predeceased by six brothers, Paul Laramie, Fred Laramie, Thomas Laramie, Raymond Laramie, Peter Laramie and David Laramie; a sister, Phyllis Laramie; a grandson, Ryan Selinga and her former husband, Chester Brough.
SELINGA -- Her funeral will be held on Thursday, Jan. 31, from the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Denis Church, 85 Main St. Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 30, from 4 to 7 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 128 Providence Street #5, Worcester, MA 01604 or to the Blaire House Activity Fund, 116 Houghton St., Worcester, MA 01605.
