She was married to the late Zéphir Cormier (2001). Born in Saint-Paul on July 25th, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Marcelin and the late Henriette (Gosselin) Léger. She was a member of the Sainte-Marie de Kent Golden age club, and very involved in the parish activities. Rita was a woman known for her immense generosity and her great charitable actions towards everybody she knew. Rita leaves to mourn her eight children, Maria LeBlanc (Paul) of Scoudouc, Alfreda LeBlanc (Terrence) of Moncton, Ginette Caissie (Paul) of Grande-Digue, Majella Gallant (Jean-Guy) of Moncton, Fernand (Lucille) of Sainte-Marie de Kent, Jean (Paulette) of Scoudouc, Léandre (Denise) of Sainte-Marie de Kent, Jules (Bernadine) of Sainte-Marie de Kent, nineteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one brother Euclide of Moncton, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister Marie, and four brothers Gerard, Aimé, Zoel and Elzéar. Visitation will be held at the Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Sainte-Marie de Kent on Sunday October 4th, from 7 to 9 and Monday from 2 to 4 and 5:30 to 6:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Sainte-Marie de Kent Church on Monday October 5th, 2009 at 7:00 pm. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In Rita's memory donations can be made to the Arthritis Society or the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital Foundation.
