He was the son of the late Bartholomew and Theresa (Pothier) Surette. He was a truck driver and a veteran of World War II. He leaves in mourning his wife, Jane Robbins; three sons: Ernest, Philippe and Malcolm, all at home; three daughters: Myrna (Mrs. Bernard Cottreau), East Boston, Mass.; Sharon and Joan, both at home; four brothers, Lloyd and Cecil, both of Pinkney?s Point; Vernon of Yarmouth and Eldon of Plymouth; a sister: Iola (Mrs. Delmer Surette), Yarmouth; and four grandchildren. The body rested at H. M. Huskilson Funeral Home in Yarmouth. The funeral was held the 29th of March at 10:00 a.m. with funeral service at St-Raphael Church. Father Raoul Deveau officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
