      Obituary of Georgia Marie Aldrich
      Services for Georgia Marie Aldrich, 94, of Lufkin, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 19, 2018 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Jim Vaughan officiating. Interment will follow in the Huntington Cemetery. Mrs. Aldrich was born September 27, 1924 in Frankston, Texas, the daughter of the late Mollie V. and Robert W. Champion. She passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018 in a Huntington nursing facility. Mrs. Aldrich was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed taking care of her family and cooking. Mrs. Aldrich retired from Brookshire Brothers following 25 years of employment. She was a member of Church of Christ. Survivors include her son, Donald Aldrich of Lufkin; grandson, Michael Aldrich and wife Rhonda of Houston; granddaughters, Tina Aldrich Rogers of Dallas and Helen Dewane and husband Christopher of Dallas; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Anthline Champion of Sherman, nieces, Lanell Champion Hughes, Donna Champion House and Sheila Champion Abbott, all of Sherman, Susan Mollie Champion-Cracker of California, Jane Champion Miller of California, and Beverly Talbott and husband Jon; and nephews, William Henry Champion, Jr., Bob Champion, both of California, and Skipper Champion of Arizona. Mrs. Aldrich was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy ?Pete? Aldrich; her parents; and her brother, Bill Champion. Pallbearers will be Michael Aldrich, Aaron Crawford, Jon Talbott and Bud House. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
