  Halifax Herald 6/8/2007 AMERO, Marion Rita - 87, Pubnico, Yarmouth Co., passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2007, in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born May 15, 1920, in Yarmouth, she was a daughter of the late George and Frances (Doucette) Cook. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed picking blueberries and planting flowers. Surviving are her children, Joseph (Donna) Amiro, Yarmouth; James Amero, Pubnico; G. Patrick (Beth) Amero, Kentville; Eileen Surette, Yarmouth; Catherine Murphy, Yarmouth; Wayne Amero, Pubnico; Agnes Amero, Yarmouth; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Helen Amero, Sackville; sister, Doris Frederickson, Spryfield. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Joseph F. Amero; sister, Gladys Letteney; brothers, George Cook, Charles Cook; a son, David Amero. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today, with prayers at 8 p.m., both in H.M. Huskilson's Funeral Home, 29 Albert St., Yarmouth. The funeral mass will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 9, in Saint Ambrose Cathedral, Albert Street, Yarmouth, Father John MacPherson officiating.
