- Obituary for Evelyn Mary Moffitt
Our beautiful rose, Evelyn Mary Moffitt, passed away on January 14, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Evelyn was born September 9, 1922, the daughter of the late Naomi Osborne and Thomas Bungay of Newfoundland.Evelyn married the love of her life, Frederick Moffitt, on November 4, 1950. She raised three wonderful children and took great pride in their accomplishments. Evelyn lit up the room when she entered as she always adorned an endless smile, and always dressed to the nines! She not only loved fashion for herself but also insisted on providing beautiful gifts of clothing for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her passions included fashion, shopping, decorating, crocheting, watching TV, and family. Evelyn used her talents to donate dolls with her handmade clothing to underprivileged children during the holidays. Evelyn also loved her many pets throughout the years, most recently Scooby and Tabby.Evelyn is survived by her loving husband of 66 years Fred, her children and their spouses; Darlene Guerrero of North Fort Myers, Dr. Tisa Morrissette and Jacques of Fort Myers, Dr. Brian Moffitt and Juan Pablo Diez Chavez of Cape Coral, and Bonnie Davidson of Massachusetts. Her granddaughters Jennifer Eloge of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Aimee Morrissette of Palm Coast, Florida; several great grandchildren, Nathanial, Andrew, and Samuel Couture, Brianna Eloge, and Everly Paley. She also leaves behind her beloved niece Caroleah Jo Mackechnie, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Evelyn was predeceased by her beloved son Russel Prosser.There will be a private memorial service for immediate family.
