  SQUIRES, William The Evening Telegram October 8, 1996 (Tuesday) Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, age 84 years, on Sunday, October 6th, William Squires of Torbay. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 53 years, Madeline (Halley); eight daughters and two sons: Theresa (Jim) Cantwell, Torbay; Eileen (Allan), Ottawa, Ont.; Pat (Brenda) Squires, B.C.; Gertrude (Wally) Frank, Ont.; Rita (Paddy) O'Brien, Torbay; Amanda (Kevin) Everson, Flatrock; Johann Squires, Ont.; Glendeen (Bill) Williton, Torbay; Billy (Melanie) Squires, Ont.; Gail (Mike) Gough, Logy Bay, with whom he resided; 31 loving grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Eileen Druken and Tess Murphy, Boston; five brothers-in-law: Jack Murphy, Portugal Cove, Alex Halley (Marion), Topsail, Patrick Halley (Teresita), Topsail, Johnny Halley (Sheila), Ont., Cyril Samuelson, Ont.; sister-in-law Tess Barrett, Ont.; and a large number of nieces and nephews; and special friend Din McGrath, Torbay.
