Notes - Roger Kuessey was a young Irish refugee captured by the British.. He arrived in Port Royal in 1665. He was the pioneer family of the Caissy name in Acadia. Between 1676 and 1678, he settled in Beaubassin, Acadia. He is said to have planted the first fruit trees at a place which is called today ?Bute a?Roger.? Some of Roger?s descendents took the surname Roger (Catherine Roger in chart). He was said to by Irish, but ?became? Acadian.
