Notes - Donald Ray "Bleu" LeBleu, Sr., 67, of Lake Charles died Friday, June 5, 2009 in New Iberia, LA. Mr. LeBleu was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles and was a graduate of LaGrange High School. He worked most of his life as a pipefitter, having retired with Conoco/ Phillips Refinery after nearly forty years of service. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed bowling, traveling with his wife and "loved" dancing. Mr. LeBleu was very active in local baseball and softball organizations as he and his wife founded girls fast pitch softball (ASA League). He was a former President, Coach and Umpire of the ASA League and others. Mr. LeBleu was volunteer for the Special Olympics for many years. He was an active member of the Cajun French Music Association and was serving as Sergeant of Arms. He was also a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church and formerly, St. Margaret Knights of Columbus. He leaves to honor his memory, two sons, Donald "Donnie" LeBleu, Jr. and Brian Keith LeBleu and wife Connie; two daughters, Christine LeBleu and Stacy LeBleu Hebert and husband Donald, all of Moss Bluff; eleven grandchildren, Jeremy and Brandon Mallett and wife Heidi, Amanda Johnson and husband Chase, Elizabeth Rogers, Stuart Taylor, Cody, Anne- Marie, Justin and Caleb LeBleu and Kolby and Kalli- Ann Hebert; one great- grandchild, Levi Mallett; two brothers, Clarence LeBert and wife Betty of Lake Charles and Elton LeBert and wife Mitzi of Ragley; two sisters, Georgia Aucoin and husband Abraham of Lake Charles and JoAnn LeBleu Joubert and husband J.B. of Moss Bluff; one brother- in- law, Michael Meche and wife Felicia of Baton Rouge and one sister-in-law, Gail Meche of Dallas, TX. He was preceded in death by the "love of his life", his wife of 41 years, Dorothy "Dot" Meche LeBleu; grandson, Kaide Joseph Hebert; brother, Eugene LeBleu; sister, Dorothy Lee McComb and his parents, Joseph and Lorena Veroni LeBleu. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, June 8, 2009 in St. Margaret Catholic Church. Father James Doyle will officiate. Burial will be Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation Sunday will be from 12:00 PM until 10:00 PM with a scripture service and rosary beginning at 6:00 PM. Visitation Monday will be from 8:00 AM until 10:30 AM in the funeral home.
