Marblehead, Marblehead, Essex, Massachusetts, United States
Reason This Information Is Correct:
Under orders of Colonel Preble, Jeanne and Jacques and their seven children were deported to Marble Head, MA where they arrived on 21 April 1756. Their stay there was short, not being able to find suitable accommodations. They lived for 10 years in Boston and it was not until Aug 1766 that they returned to Nova Scotia, were again able to trample the sands of Cap au Sable. Descendants of this family are still living in the region of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia.
