    • George N. Melanson
      George N. Melanson, age 88, of Fall River, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 21, 2014. He was the husband of Margaret ?Peggy? (Mullen) Melanson.
      Born in Somerset, a son of the late Joseph and Lillian Jane Augusta (Reid) Melanson, he was a lifelong area resident.
      A Veteran of the United States Navy, he worked for K&W Music for many years. He repaired juke boxes and was well known for fixing pool tables. He was a charter and life member of the AM Vets Post 60, the Royal Travelers, and the Mic Maq Indian Tribe.
      In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sisters; Jane Robidoux of Tiverton, Marion Sousa of Portsmouth, and several nieces and nephews. He was brother of the late Dorothy White and Richard W. Melanson.
      The family wishes to thank the staff at the Crawford Home for the care in which George received.
      His Funeral will be held Monday March 24, 2014 at 10:00AM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at CHERRY PLACE, 178 Winter St., Fall River.
