    • Robert E. Adams, 74, of 223 Ash St, Gardner, died Thurs, May 20th in Heywood Hospital, Gardner following an illness.

      Born in Gardner on August 28, 1929, he was the son of Reginald and Hazel (Coane) Adams.

      He was a printer employed by Simplex Time Recorder Co. of Gardner for 14 years, retiring in 1990. He was previously employed by the former Hatton Printing Co. of Gardner.

      Mr. Adams was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. He was a lifetime member of V.F.W. Ovila Case Post 905 of Gardner.

      Mr. Adams was a Korean War Army Veteran.

      He leaves his wife of 46 years, Dorice M. (Richard) Adams of Gardner; 2 sons, Thomas E. Adams and his wife Denise of Baldwinville, James E. Adams and his wife Melinda of Gardner; 1 brother, Richard Adams of Hillsboro, NH; his stepmother, Louise (Wiktorski) Adams of South Hadley; 2 half-brothers, Paul P. Adams of Albuquerque, NM and Gary L. Adams of Palmdale, FL; 3 grandchildren, Neil W. Adams, Dale S. Adams both of Gardner and Hannah L. Adams of Baldwinville; 1 uncle, Russell Adams of Baldwinville; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

      Funeral services will be held Monday from the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc, 110 Nichols St., Gardner with a Mass at 10am in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 166 Cross St, Gardner. Burial will be in St. Johns Cemetery, Gardner. Calling hours at the funeral home are Sunday, May 23 from 6-8pm.
