Notes - Marie (Prendeville) Maloney, age 59, a resident of Quincy, passed into eternal life on February 2, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Marie was the beloved wife for thirty-six years of Thomas M. Maloney, Jr.; cherished mother of Thomas M. Maloney III and his wife Christina, Therese H. Maloney and Patrick P. Maloney, all of Quincy; loving daughter of the late Lawrence N. and Bridget M. (Healy) Prendeville; dear sister of Lawrence J. Prendeville and his wife Carol of Quincy, Loretta N. Prendeville of Quincy and the late Eileen Prendeville Yetman; adored aunt of Michael, Brendan and Andrew Prendeville and Katherine Yetman. Marie is also survived by many dear aunts, cousins and friends. A lifelong Quincy resident, Marie was a graduate of Archbishop Williams High School and Quincy City Hospital School of Nursing. She was a dedicated nurse at Carney Hospital in Dorchester for thirty-seven years. Marie was the cornerstone of her family. Together with her husband, they built a foundation of faith, love and trust for the true lights of her life, her three children, Thomas, Therese and Patrick. Marie left a lasting impression on everyone she met, making all feel welcomed, loved and truly at home in her presence. She will be sorely missed by all those whose lives she has touched over the years. Funeral from the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, on Monday, February 8, at 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass in Saint Anns Church, 757 Hancock Street, Quincy, at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the funeral home on Sunday from 1-5 p.m. Interment Mount Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.
