- GARDNER -- Donald J. Huard, 84, of 19 City Hall Ave, died Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2007 at the Leo P. LaChance Center following an illness. He was born in North Brookfield on Dec. 17, 1922, the son of the John F. Huard, Sr. and Nora (Barnes) Huard. He has resided in Gardner for the past 3 years having previously resided in Henderson, Nevada for 16 years. He was a former resident of Leominster. Mr. Huard was a veteran of World War II serving as a Private in the United States Army. He worked as a chemical analysis for the Foster Grant Company for many years. Mr. Huard leaves a sister, Marion Sheridan of New Hampshire, four grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Emile (Leger) Huard who died in 2002; a daughter, Marie Bourque of Leominster who died in 1988; a brother, John F. Huard, Jr. who died in 1993; and a sister, Florence Farineau who died in 1995. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007 with an 11 a.m. service in the John H. Mack Funeral Home, 91 Vernon Street, Gardner. A calling hour will held from 10:30-11:00 a.m. prior to the funeral service. Burial will be in Palm Cemetery in Las Vegas, Nevada at a later date. The John H. Mack Funeral Home, 91 Vernon Street is directing the arrangements.
