      George Daigle
      On August 16, 2011 George Daigle passed away at the age of 64, after a courageous and dignified battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loved ones at his residence in Richibucto, NB. Born in Rexton, NB, he was the son of late Bélonie Daigle and Rita (Savoie) Daigle.

      He will be sadly missed by his wife of 40 years, Aline (Robichaud), his daughter, Nadine Guitard (Dean) of Richibucto, his son Marc (Jessica Lanteigne) of Dieppe, his grandchildren Justin and Alyssa, his mother Rita from Gardner, Mass., his sisters Ginette LeBlanc (Bertin), his twin Georgette Maillet (Ronald) both from Leominster, Mass. and Gisèle Breton (André) from Gardner, Mass.; several cousins, nieces and nephews as well as the extended Robichaud family.

      Besides his father Ben, he was predeceased by a sister Gisèle and a grandson Alec (infant).

      George was a successful businessman. Among his business ventures, he was best known locally at St. Louis Hardware which he owned and operated for 25 years. He acted as a mentor amongst many people and entrepreneurs.

      George was known as a family man, a generous man who touched a lot of lives.

      Resting at Thompson?s Funeral Home, Richibucto with visitation on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9, Saturday from 9:00 am until departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 20th, 2011 at 11:00 am, St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church, Richibucto. Interment will be in the Aldouane Roman Catholic Cemetery. Donations in George?s memory may be made to the Tree of Hope, Kent Extra Mural Program or donor?s choice and would be appreciated by the family.
