- November 6, 2001 -I retired a few years ago and started collecting family history. Both grandfathers came to Canada to start new lives and didn't bring much with them. I have pieced together some information from the past and continue to add to my collection. I have gathered photographs, dates of birth, marriage and death of various family members. I am presently a member of ancestry.com and rootsweb.com and have gotten addresses of persons with the same names in the U.S., Canada, Europe and the United Kingdom. Hope to mail a form letter to find family tree lineage. Have compiled Ancestry.com 'Family Group Record' and 'Ancestral Chart' for each of the present Family members. I have searched many data bases. Have visited cemeteries to verify information compiled to date. Hope to search archives in the Province of Ontario and the Federal Archives in Ottawa for copies of birth certificates, marriage certificates, immigration records to verify information compiled. I hope to publish a book with Ukrainian family recipes that have been handed down to me, explaining our culture and heritage, along with the family trees of our forefathers and families. The Marciniak family is from Budnufka, Skalat, Ukraine (Near Ternopili). The Refcio family is from Glemboka, Styra Sombir, Ukraine. The Jaremko family is from the District of Lviv, Ukraine. (I have no knowledge of the village except that it was close to Bibrka and Lviv through listening to discussions my father and mother-in-law had. The Bordenuk family is from Rohozna, Chernivtsi, Ukraine. The Danylyk family is from Bibrka, near Lviv, Ukraine.
