    • Stella M. Bastarache of Westminster; 85 WESTMINSTER Stella M. (Gaudet) Bastarache, 85, formerly of South Shore Road died Saturday, March 28 at the Life Care Center of Leominster. Mrs. Bastarache was born in Fitchburg on February 11, 1924 a daughter of the late Albert and Eva (Leger) Gaudet and had resided in Westminster for thirty nine years. Mrs. Bastarache was the wife of the late J.P. Roger Bastarache who died in April 2005. She is survived by a son: Gary R. Bastarache of Athol, one daughter: Anne E. Bastarache of Westminster, three brothers: Roger Gaudet, Hector,Shorty, Gaudet, Norman Gaudet all of Fitchburg, two grandchildren; Crystal Stone and Craig Bastarache; and one great grandson, Tyler Stone. Mrs. Bastarache was the sister of the late Emile Gaudet and Bertha Martino. Mrs. Bastarache was formerly employed for 42 years at the former Fitchburg Yarn, she then worked at Burbank Hospital in Fitchburg retiring in 1987. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Fitchburg. Mr. and Mrs. Basatarache were avid square dancers. BASTARACHE A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 3rd, 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Church, 49 Woodland St. Fitchburg. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
