UXBRIDGE -- Martina F. (Walsh) Grady, 98, of 120 Chapin St., died Friday, Jan. 19, at home after an illness.
Her husband, Edward L. Grady Sr., died in 1975. She leaves three sons, William T. Grady of Hampton, N.H., Robert A. Grady of Mashpee and Richard A. Grady of Newton; four daughters, Virginia G. Manning of Gales Ferry, Conn., Martina G. Parauda of Edison, N.J., Sheila A. Grady and Maureen M. Trettel, both of Uxbridge; 31 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren. Two sons, Edward L. Grady Jr. and John M. Grady, and a brother, Edwin Walsh, predeceased her. She was born in Fairmont, Nova Scotia, daughter of Thomas and Mary (MacNeil) Walsh, lived for a time in Milford, and lived 62 years in Uxbridge. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in Milford in 1919 and Burdett College in Boston.
Mrs. Grady was a member of St. Mary's Church, and taught Confraternity of Christian Doctrine.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, Jan. 24, from Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Road, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 71 Mendon St. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Harrisville, R.I. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Camillus Hospice, 447 Hill St., Whitinsville, MA 01588.
