  THORNTON - William Thomas Grady, 83, of Tamarack Road, died peacefully at his home on Aug. 4, 2011, after a brief illness. He was born in Milford, Mass., on July 27, 1928, the son of Edward L. and Martina [Walsh] Grady. Bill graduated from St. Mary's High School, in Milford, Class of 1946 and attended St. Francis College in Loretto, Pa. He joined and served honorably in the U.S. Navy as a pilot based on the aircraft carrier USS Bennington and had continued in the Naval Reserves. He flew for 30 years as a captain for Delta Airlines. Bill was an avid skier, golfer and flying enthusiast. He was greatly respected and dearly loved by all. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lorna A. (Ladd) Grady of Thornton; children, Bill, Brian, Julia and Andrea; his three grandchildren, Brianna, Liliana and Liam; a sister, Maureen; nieces and nephews.
