    Obituary: Massachusetts GARDNER - Herve G. LeBlanc, 68, of 59 Abbott St. died Wednesday at Heywood Hospital.
    He leaves two daughters, Brenda M. Pecchia of Gardner and Joyce A. Suomalo of Westminster; a brother Leo LeBlanc; and sister, Geneva Hebert, both of Gardner; three grandchildren; a close friend, Virginia Dow of East Templeton; nieces and nephews. He was born in Gardner, the son of Antoine and Madeline (Robichaud) LeBlanc, and lived here all his life.
    He received his high school diploma in 1993 through Mount Wachusett Community College, where he was still enrolled in the liberal arts curriculum.
    He was a police patrolman in the City of Gardner where he worked for 32 years, retiring in 1990.
    Mr. LeBlanc was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was aboard the USS Missouri at the historic signing of the Japanese surrender at Toyko Bay on Sept. 2, 1945. He participated in the battles of Okinawa and Iwo Jima and the bombardment of Japan.
    He was a member of Ovila Case Veterans of Foreign Wars Post, the USS Missouri Association, the International Brotherhood of Police Officers Retired, American Battleship Association, the U.S. Naval Institute and Sampson World War II Navy Veterans Association.
    He was a member of Our Lady of Holy Rosary Church.
    The funeral will be held tomorrow from Dufault-Boucher Funeral Home, 110 Nichols St., with a Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are 6 to 9 tonight. Flowers may be sent, or memorial contributions made to American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham 01701.
